The brand Fior di Mare was set up in 2002 and identifies our selection of fish products. The most important product in this category is our salted anchovy, a simple and precious product of our sea that has always occupied a relevant position in the Mediterranean diet.
Produced following traditional techniques, anchovies Fior di Mare are caught in the period of the year that guarantees the best quality of the final product and they are processed immediately, keeping their brightness intact.
Our salted anchovies ‘Sicilia’ and ‘Spagna’ are the result of a salting process called ‘Meat’ (in Italian ‘carne’), in which the amount of salt used is intentionally reduced, ensuring that the final product preserves its particularly intense aroma.
Anchovy fillets in oil are still produced and packaged manually, in full respect of the oldest seafaring traditions.
